On Tuesday, a group of kapa haka students from Room 19 – accompanied by Ms Thorn, Mrs Bell and Matua Corey - walked to the lakefront to join our school kaumātua, Matua Darren Rewi, in blessing our Year 8 Graduation Pounamu in Whakatipu Waimāori. The morning was ātaahua – Tamanuiterā was shining and the water was crisp. Each of these pounamu will be handed to our Year 8 students at our formal graduation ceremony next week. A huge thank you to Matua Darren for his ongoing support of our kura.
