Principals Message - 28 April 2023

Although a short week and after walking through rooms and around the school, there is a great buzz happening. Thank you for ensuring your child wears the correct uniform as this demonstrates integrity and respect; our QPS Values. Students and staff have settled quickly into routines and the amazing weather has encouraged outdoor activities and learning.

You will have received information in relation to the disruption at QPS this Tuesday 2 May, while a very noisy helicopter works above us on Skyline. I have requested the helicopter land in our grounds on Monday afternoon for us all to learn more about it. This has yet to be confirmed as you can imagine the health and safety requirements related to this request.

I would like to reintroduce the cafe mornings from next Friday, 9 am-9.30 am in the staffroom. You are invited to pop in and meet with me over a cuppa to talk about anything you like. This is also a time for new parents to the school to meet others. I encourage you to attend. Hope to see you there.

Please be aware of the dates advertised in this newsletter for upcoming events. There is plenty to mark your calendars with. Winter sports begin tomorrow so you will see me out and about supporting our students. I really like this opportunity to see the students out of school and cheer them on from the sideline.
