Room 8 students have been learning about fractions in Mathematics.

This week, we had fun opening our own pretend pizza shop and many customers called Miss Osborne to place their orders. We had some picky customers - some wanted each quarter or half of their pizza to feature different flavours like pepperoni, cheese, peppers, or tomato.

Students had to create a paper pizza according to their customer's preferences. The pizzas turned out great, and the students enjoyed consolidating their fraction knowledge through this hands-on activity.

Room 7 has been writing narrative stories modelled after 'Aliens Love Underpants' by Claire Freedman.

We kept the same characters, setting and problem but used our imagination to rewrite the story with a different solution.
