Cowering timidly, the orangutan lies low in its barren enclosure. Distant memories of swinging high in the treetops, picking the ripest, juiciest berries without a care.
These are the imaginations of the lonely orangutan. Slowly, the animal limps over to the bare food trough checking it for any scraps. Beady human eyes stare at the disrespected creature. Remembering scoffing down fruits, leaves and insects, the animal couldn't take it anymore. Smashing its head against the pillar, the animal falls down. Dead. A victim of zoochosis.
