Mahia te mahi i Te Whare Whakairo

Jordan Cameron —

Our carvers have been going hard with their whakairo mahi.

It’s all mahi on, in Matua Jodi’s carving shed. Pononga have been busy learning the skills of our tupuna with their mullet and chisel.

One pononga, Renata Grigg has completed his very own tiaha. This tiaha will travel with him on his journey through Te Whare Tu Taua! Tino pai tō mahi e tama, mīharo!
