Rangaihi 2021 Panui
Due to all challenges presented in 2020, Rangaihi is postponed to Term 1 of 2021. With this in mind - Te Manakuratahi is still scheduled to take place in Nelson Term 4 next year unless there is another outbreak.
RANGAIHI 2021
Due to all challenges presented in 2020, Rangaihi is postponed to Term 1 of 2021. With this in mind - Te Manakuratahi is still scheduled to take place in Nelson Term 4 next year unless there is another outbreak. If we make it through to Nationals 2021 it will mean we will have regionals AND nationals in the same year. With that in mind we have got a big year ahead of us.

Ngā Pononga o te Kapa
Our group will consist of pononga between Year 4-8 who are selected to represent Te Pā o Rākaihautū at the Rangaihi competition.
Hauaitū Pononga
We are excited to say that the Year 3’s will also be gunning for a spot as next year as they will be year 4 and able to join the ranks. We have some amazing pononga in Hauaitū, but making the team means a big step up from what they know. Please don’t think it will be a walk in the park. It will be long, physical and draining. So pononga who make the team will be pushed to their limits.
Karikari tau 8
Unfortunately 2020 Year 8’s are unable to perform next year as they will then be secondary students and too old to perform at Primary Regionals and Nationals.
There is still time for other tamariki to have a go next Friday. Kapa haka is not a subject, it is who we are!!
Ngā Wā Whakaharatau:
At the moment our practices are on Fridays. Pononga START at 1:00pm and FINISH at 2:30pm in the hall. Full practices will begin Week 3, Friday starting at 9:30am and finishing at 3pm. If your tamaiti is selected, you will receive an email with Wānanga and Practice dates.
Ko a tātou tamariki te pūtake o te whakaaro. With everything we strive for, let our tamariki be in the centre. So in saying this, we would love to encourage everybody to think of our pononga and how we can help them on our journey.
Noho ora mai i ngā manaakitanga o te runga rawa.
