Located at the end of the main buildings (on Mclean Street) of Te Pā o Rākaihautū.

"Many pākeke go to visit Corri and Mere for mirimiri, but mirimiri is also good for our tamariki. We encourage whānau to book their tamariki in for a mirimiri in the new year too."

The Kia Kaha Chemist, Brendon McIntosh (Arai Te Uru ki Puketeraki), is available for Whānau who take 5 or more medicines and would like some help with understanding what they are for and how to take them.

Brendon can then make an assessment to help you find the best possible balance to get the most out of life and may be able to find natural options to help.

He is a trained and experienced Pharmacist but is also trained in Nutritional Medicine. So he brings a holistic approach to your health care.

Additionally, he will be working with our Hauora Practitioners at the Te Pa Wellness Center for the complete benefit of the whanau.

Through the values of Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga and ultimately Mātauranga, Kia Kaha Chemist strives to improve the health and wellbeing of all Māori. Māori that engage with Kia Kaha Chemist, will be empowered to improve not only their own health, but also the health of their Tupuna, Mātua, Tamariki and Mokopuna.

This is a free and confidential service that can take place whereever you feel comfortable - be it the marae, Te Pā, or your own whare. Brendon is mobile and can come to you at a time that suits best.
