The Court Theatre have news!
The Māori and Pasifika Court Theatre newsletter, full of all the wonderful things happening!
Kia ora whānau,
Have you heard the word on the street? Astroman is out of this world awesome! This play has a lot of the whānau in it, from cast to crew. We need to show as much support as we can for Māori and Pasifika works and practitioners. Not just because it’s the right thing to do (and helps them pay the bills) but because it’s a really entertaining play.
Tell the family, tell your mates, tell your Auntie's cousin's best friend's neighbour to come and see Astroman for its world premiere at The Court. I’m sure you’ll have moments of goosebumps, laughter and possibly tears in experiencing this phenomenal play. It’s running for a limited time only so nab some tickets before they sell out.
On October 27th Astroman made it's amazing debut and it will be continuing until November 10th so if you haven't seen it already, get in quick whānau! Astroman is a family comedy set in the 1980s written by Kiwi playwright Albert Belz, following a young Māori boy in Whakatāne finding his place – and potential – in small-town New Zealand.
Nau mai, haere mai whānau!
