Four years of planting and returning to Whakamātakiuru to support Matua David and Whaea Di.

Matua David and Whaea Di are parents of one of our OG kaiārahi Hākui Aroha. They have been helping to restore the korowai of Papatūānuku to stop the land being eroded by Te Kete Ika o Rākaihautū. It was great to revisit the area and we could definitely see the progress.

Tiari has attended each haerenga and has been a great navigator and leader for his teina especially, which is amazing to hear. All of our tamariki put in the hard yards today and we are proud of their efforts and mahi to help save our land and sea.
