Production Update!
With production week just around the corner, our Pā is hard at work.
The excitement for our upcoming Te Pā production is building and all of our pononga are hard at work getting ready for production week. From Te Puna Hauaitū to Te Waka Uruao, let's see what they've been up to.
Te Puna Hauaitū pononga are very enthusiastic about their role in the production. They are hard at work with Taua Shelley sorting their costumes to wear while they perform. The pononga are also kept busy practising to make sure they are ready for the big day.
Te Puna Waimarie are also in full swing practising everyday to make sure they are prepared to hit that stage. Karawhiua Waimarie!
Te Puna Karikari and Te Waka Uruao are putting in the mahi with their four groups. The Samoan Group, Rarotongan Group, Māori Group and our amazing Stage Crew.
The stage has got it’s fresh new look, and now a crew of people to operate it. Keen pononga in tech and stage management have volunteered as a part of our stage crew. These pononga play a major role in our production. They will have the responsibility of sound, lights and props.
As for our performers. At our senior end, three rōpū had a chance to get a feel for the stage. They all got a taste of the lighting and space they would be utilising.
Matua Jodis carving is coming along with both parts of our taonga shaping up nicely.
Less than two weeks to go now whānau!
