He Pūrakau: Kaiamio

This morning the teachers told a story about a girl called Kaiamio trying to get away from a taniwha call Kōpūwai and his two headed dogs. Once there was a girl called Kaiamio, she was walking by the river. Suddenly Kaiamio froze, she heard a rustling noise in the bush. Out came a two headed dog. The two headed dog took Kaiamio to the taniwha. Kōpūwai. After many months Kaiaimio made a Mōkihi from raupo and escaped back to her people.
