On May 27th 2022 the whole of Te Pā o Rākaihautū went to Pohoareare which is just off Gayhurst road, not far from our current kura.
Kua whiti re rā, the sun was shining bright as pononga got off the buses and gathered at the starting line for their race around Pohoareare, our future building site for Te Pā o Rākaihautū.
Everyone was looking vibrant in their Kāhui colors, and it was great to see so many whānau there both participating and cheering on pononga right to the finish line. An inspiring opportunity to build tuakana - teina relationships with pononga.
A huge mihi to the Kaitautoko team who organized this wonderful event which encouraged our value of Mataora.
