This week our students took part in a Ki-o-Rahi tournament alongside many other schools around Ōtautahi

This year a number of Te Pā students took part in a Ki-o-rahi tournament hosted at Te Puna Wai. I spoke with one of the players Mahinerangi for an insight on the competition.

“It was at te puna wai and we won our division it was a fun day we had the whole crew there we versed Hillmorton A and team B, Lincoln, Linwood, Shirley and avonside and another team I forgot. Lincoln won the whole tournament and Stacie was the mvp. Overall it was a really good day”

We are very proud of our te pā team and the results of this tournament. All our pononga represented te pā to a high standard not just through the sport itself but in the way they carried themselves. Ngā mihi!
