Everything you need to know about the upcoming secondary Kapa Haka season.

The Tuakana Kapa Haka season is now upon us. We will be starting our ‘Tuakana Kapa Haka Wānanga’ next weekend, Friday 29th March 6pm at Te Pā. The pononga will stay at Te Pā on Friday night to Saturday 30th March 3pm.

A permission slip for pononga will come out to whānau this coming week.

Our Tuakana kapa haka for 2019 will be led by Matua Tauira and Matua Miru. Kaiāwhina will be Hineāmaru Paraone, Faith Christie, Queloux Hakaria and Paratene Takurua. Our kākahu team will be led by Whaea Lisa and Whaea Mackie.

We will have our Tuakana Kapa Haka full team, named by end of this term. Next term will be our full programme for kapa haka. Our Waitaha Kura Tuarua competitions will be held on Saturday 3rd August 2019, venue is the Aurora Centre Burnside High School.

Could all whānau bring a plate for Saturday Kainui please. We will have this in the wharekai at 12pm.
