The te reo version of the phenomenally popular 2013 Disney animated film is out now!

Te mita o Kai Tahu is taking center stage in one of the most popular Disney movies in recent times. Frozen Reo Māori! On the 27th of October 2022 some of our Te pā pononga and whānau were able to attend the premiere of Frozen Reo Māori right here in Ōtautahi.

Many gathered to experience the Māori language version of the film on the big screen, including some of the stars Jaedyn Randell (“Princess Anna”), Awhimai Fraser (“Queen Elsa”), Pere Wihongi (“Olaf”) and more, as well as Matewa Media producer and director Tweedie Waititi, producer Chelsea Winstanley, and music director Rob Ruha.

Frozen Reo Māori is the third film re-versioned into Te Reo Māori to be developed and produced by Matewa Media in association with Walt Disney Animations Studios.

The film is now available in cinemas!
