In term one the Senior Kapa haka ropu started a fundraiser for new kapa haka kakahu, this term they hosted the fun run for this!
Te Pā fundraised over $4800 to go towards new kapa haka kakahu for the senior kapa haka ropu. In this fundraiser Te Pā pononga were given a booklet which had columns to be filled out with names of people who agreed to be their sponsor, those sponsors would then contribute some money. In that booklet there were prizes for the amount of money you raised, the more money you raised the better prize you got.
On the 11th of November the Uruao and Karikari ran a fun run for the Pononga o Te Pā. There were heaps of different obstacles, inflatables, a paddle pool, sack races, colour dust run and more. The kids loved being out for the morning. They especially loved running through the colour dust at the end of the run and now having pretty rainbow shirts to take home!
It was heaps of fun for the whole Pā and we are all glad to support the kapa haka group in this way!
