Kī-o-Rahi ki Waitaha said “When we asked our rangatahi how they wanted to engage with Matariki they said, “Whanaungatanga with more kura” and “Play different Taonga Tākaro” … with that in mind … our upcoming Matariki tournament will include a noho for participating teams, Kī-o-Rahi, Horohopu and Mūtōrere this year. As preparation we will be running a Wānanga Sunday the 16th of June 10-1pm at Te Puna Wānaka, Ara Te Pūkenga, Christchurch Central. This will be open to our rangatahi, those rangatahi wanting to trial for Waitaha, coaches, and any of our hapori who would like to participate. Please keep an eye out for registration.”
