Incoming First-Year Scholarships

If you are planning to enrol in your first year of an undergraduate degree at UC, it's worth applying for multiple scholarships to fund your studies.

Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury offers a range of  scholarships specifically for incoming first-year students to nurture personal growth and support future success. These scholarships celebrate and recognise academic and sporting excellence, leadership, cultural and community involvement, and overcoming of barriers and personal challenges.

Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria such as the subject area, level, and/or qualification you plan to study at UC; your age, gender, ethnicity, and citizenship; and which high school and/or region you are coming from.
