Rongoā Māori - Mirimiri Opening Soon

Mirimiri bookings will be available for Whānau, Kaimahi and Pononga from the 6th September 2023.

E harikoa ana matoa ki te panui he rongoā me te mirimiri mo te Whānau.  We welcome Mere Piripi to Te Pā o Rākaihautū and mihi to her for being able to offer this service.


Mere studied natural therapies/body alignment in Queensland, Australia.  She was prompted to come home to Aotearoa urgently to weave the art of Rongoā Māori to her kete.  Where she was able to tautoko her Whānau and hapori where needed.

She has worked with local rugby teams, New Zealand touch teams and also facilitated workshops for wāhine in Corrections and welfare organisations. Mere is of Scottish, Portuguese and Maori decent.  Intuitive from both sides of her whakapapa. She is a Great mokopuna of, Hori Ngawai (Ngati Porou of Ringatu faith) and Morore Kai Piripi (Last Paramount Chief of Ngati Wai/Ngā Puhi) who were tohunga.It was decided 16 years ago to reignite and restore the practice of her tupuna professionally.Health has been a big focus for Mere in her whanau life, so these gifts have allowed her to extend her colourful korowai.Mere is extremely excited to share this mahi here in the hauora clinic at Te Pā o Rakaihautū.


Mere will be available for bookings every Wednesday 930am - last booking at 3pm here at Te Pā o Rākaihautū in our Hauora ruma for Mirimiri and Romiromi.
