Art Opportunities - Art Club is back on!

Ava Smith —

Come along and get creative. There will be an opportunity to work towards individual or group SCAPE sculpture submissions or your own thing. All welcome!

Art Club has started back and will be after school in X13 every Monday for the rest of the term and will carry on into Term 3. This is a great opportunity for any student or teacher to have some fun and be creative. Whether you're already an art student wanting to come and get some fresh eyes on your work, or you haven't been in the art block since Year 10, there will be experienced Year 13 Visual Art students to help you out with anything you would like to do. There is no charge for the course, however, materials will be gold sheeted. You are welcome to come on a casual or regular basis.

We also have a great opportunity with SCAPE Public Art for any student to enter a competition where you can design your own sculpture and potentially have your idea made a reality. The SCAPE Public Art brief this year is Fictions- Secrets, and Lies. If you are one of the winners your idea will get made and installed in the centre of town, so the art club would be a great place to come up with your idea and get some help from us with your entry.

Josie from SCAPE will be available to mentor us. Please come to the meeting at lunchtime on Tuesday 16 June if you're interested.

Come along and bring your afternoon tea and meet new people from all year levels in a fun environment.
