We are excited to share that we are upgrading The Hub to provide a more connected, intuitive and engaging digital experience for our students and their whānau.

From Term 1, 2026, The Hub will begin transitioning to a new Learning Management System (LMS) designed to improve communication and give greater visibility into daily teaching and learning. 

Welcome to the New Hub, Powered by Schoolbox 

Throughout 2026 we will be introducing Schoolbox, the platform that will power the next evolution of The Hub. Schoolbox will support ākonga, staff and whānau with a more cohesive, easy-to-navigate space for accessing everything related to life and learning at Rangi Ruru. 

Our vision is for The Hub to become a true one‑stop home for: 

• day‑to‑day class information

• teaching and learning updates

• calendars and schedules

• cocurricular activities 

• and more! 

The new Hub has been designed to make it easier for parents and whānau to stay connected to your daughter’s learning and daily school life. As we transition to Schoolbox, you will notice a clearer, more intuitive and more accessible experience.

Benefits for parents include:

• Greater visibility of your daughter’s learning, classroom activities, due work, and teacher updates in one place

• A more connected view of school life including timetables, calendars, cocurricular activities and key notices

• Simple access on any device, whether you use a web browser, tablet or the Schoolbox mobile app

• Streamlined communication with the kura including clearer notifications and easier ways to report absences and update details

What to Expect in 2026 

The migration to Schoolbox will take place progressively across Term 1 with the current Hub site being grandfathered at the end of the Term.  

This means that, by the beginning of Term 2, all of the information you would normally access via the current Hub will accessible via the new Schoolbox platform. This means that, by the beginning of Term 2, all of the information you would normally access via the current Hub will be accessible via the new Schoolbox platform, including: 

• Reporting absentees and lateness 

• Accessing the school calendar 

• Viewing the lunch menu 

• Viewing course information and handbooks 

Over time, new features and improvements will become available. These enhancements are designed to strengthen how we, as a kura, connect and communicate with our wider Rangi Ruru community.
