What a fabulous start to Week 1 we experienced with all of our community old and new joining us.

The heat did arrive but the girls enjoyed some special events such as our Kapa Haka Powhiri in the Chapel, the Carnival and ice creams on the lawn and the junior swimming prelims to get us underway. I have talked during the week with the girls about the importance of kindness. It is lovely to see this in action with girls warmly welcoming our new girls to help settle any nerves and make them feel at home at Rangi. This weekend our rowers are away attending the South Island Rowing Championships in Twizel. We wish them all the very best and I’m sure they will do Rangi proud.

Next week is looking just as action packed with senior swimming prelims and the first of our parent evenings with Year 7 & 8 parents joining us on Thursday 7th, 7pm – 8.30pm in Mana Wahine. Please continue to be kind to each other and enjoy a lovely day together on Wednesday for Waitangi Day celebrations.
