Do you want to experience the role, expectation and lifestyle of a soldier?

The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Directorate of Recruiting has invited Rangi Ruru to nominate two candidates to apply for the Central Region Defence Careers Experience (DCE) over the period 15-18 April 2019.

Please note that this activity is open to year 12 & 13 female students only.

The DCE will be based at Linton Military Camp, Palmerston North. The DCE will involve 50 candidates from all over New Zealand. The NZDF will cover accommodation, transport and meal costs.

The aim of the DCE is to provide a four day experience of the roles, expectations and life style of our soldiers. The DCE is designed to challenge students through a wide variety of unfamiliar situations and team building activities. Physical fitness activities will be conducted throughout the period, with early morning exercises, leadership and confidence building evolutions, and social interaction with fellow candidates and NZDF personnel. Candidates will be assessed on leadership potential and will receive a certificate of completion.
