To those parents, students who helped with the clean-up of the Yellow Bin rubbish spill on Hewitts Rd and Merivale Lane last Friday morning. Much appreciated! 

Sports and Multi-Purpose Centre Construction 
Please note that next week there will be initial works commencing at the site on Hewitts Road, there may be minor delays on Hewitts Road at drop off and pick up times due to trucks entering and leaving the site. 

PDPs (Personal Development Plans)
Tutors and your daughters will be completing these by the end of term.

LPCs (Learning Progress Conferences)
These take place 4.00 - 8.00pm on Thursday 25 March (school will finish at 3.00pm for students), on Tuesday 30 March (normal finish time of 3.20pm) and 1pm on Thursday 1 April for Boarders. School will finish at 12.30pm on this last day of term.


Care & Development Network
Let’s be honest. Parenting is HARD! It has been argued that parenting teenagers is the hardest time to be a parent. There are of course many benefits to having teenagers too, let’s not discount those (less toilet training, someone to do the dishes, no desperate rush to get a babysitter, more independence on both sides…). However, it is generally acknowledged to be a bit of a stressful time while the parent/caregiver and child negotiate their way through a relationship with constantly changing boundaries.

It is important for parents/caregivers to be able to look after themselves so that a positive relationship with their child will continue, and even thrive during this time. Below are some resources if you, or someone you know, is struggling at the moment. As a first step, if you are experiencing any physical or mental health difficulties, your GP can be a great first point of call.

Alcohol Drug Helpline – 0800 787 797 Confidential information, advice and referral service for people with questions about their own or someone else’s drinking or drug use. Callers can access brief interventions while those needing ongoing counselling are referred to appropriate local service.

Gambling Helpline New Zealand – 0800 654 655 Support for those worried about gambling or the gambling of others. You can talk to counsellors for free any time – click the chat button on www.gamblinghelpline.co.nz.

Anxiety Helpline – 0800 269 4389 For people feeling anxious or for those seeking advice for a friend or family member.
