Our community carries a deep sense of sadness following the recent passing of Tessa Sheild (Class of 2018). Tessa was a much-loved boarding student from Marlborough, and her kind spirit, strength and loyalty to her friends left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

Tessa was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was fun-loving, full of life and always ready for the next adventure. Her open-minded spirit and generous heart made her a natural includer, especially when there was an occasion for a good dress-up event, which she never passed up!

She gave freely, not just of her time and energy, but of her love, laughter and vibrant presence.

Tessa was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed by the many who were lucky enough to love and be loved by her. Our thoughts and aroha are with her family, friends and former classmates at this heartbreaking time.
