Recently we held a parent information evening - Learning and Parenting in a World of Artificial Intelligence, where we explored the exciting intersection of education and Generative Artificial Intelligence. We addressed the following topics:

• What is Generative AI and why it is causing such a stir in the world.
• How Generative AI is shaping education and the world our young people will move into, as well as the opportunities and concerns it presents.
• Why it's crucial for parents to know about this technology (the good and bad), and understand its impact and how it can enhance and hinder their children's learning journey.
• How our students are currently using Generative AI.
• Our evolving approach to Generative AI at Rangi Ruru; teaching and learning with and about AI.
