Congratulations to senior Visual Arts/Sustainability students who have gained awards in Keep NZ Beautiful Young Reporters for the Environment Award, 2019. Claudia O'Shannessey won the national senior, Photo Journalism Award.

Claudia's beautifully composed image of her sister at Sumner Beach at dawn, will represent New Zealand in the international YRE Awards.

Macy Neale was placed 2nd in New Zealand for her photo of an abandoned car tyre.

Jax Halliday received an Honourable Mention award for her article on sustainable alternatives to single use plastic straws.

All three students have been invited to a winners workshop at the University of Auckland Te Whare Wānanga o Tāmaki Makaurau, in November.
