Let’s Live Week

2020 has started positively and if our recent “Let’s Live week” run by our student Senior Leaders was any indication to go by, there is certainly a wonderful amount of Laughter, Love and girls Living life to the fullest, which ties into the theme set for this year by our Senior Leaders. With Zumba on the field and Spirit Squad banner making on Wednesday, a colourful mufti day on Thursday and a fun and foodie packed Friday, it’s been fantastic to see girls from all year groups getting involved and living this year’s theme.

Camps

Years 7, 8 and 9 have all enjoyed camps this term. As well as testing themselves with challenges, it is also the opportunity to get to know others and to establish firm friendships within the year levels. My thanks to the staff team who organise and support the girls at these worthwhile events.

Chaplain Induction

It was a special time in the life of our school as we inducted Rev Charissa Nicol as our school Chaplain. It was a lovely ceremony and I offer my thanks to our choir Resolutions and our Kapa Haka for their contributions on a very hot afternoon. We are looking forward to having the ministry of Rev Nicol in our school.

Parent Evenings

A big thank you to those of you who have made it along to our Parent Evenings to date to meet staff and hear about what is happening this year and meet your daughter’s tutors. All staff have remarked at how well the girls have settled especially those new to our community. There is a definite sense of purpose around the school.

Reunions

Coming up next weekend we welcome back to Rangi the classes of 2000, 1990, 1980, 1970, 1960, 1950 and 1940 for their reunions. I am sure it is going to be a special time for them reconnecting and reminiscing about the fun they had and the friendships they made during their time at Rangi. We look forward to meeting them.
