An Update from Theatre Arts
Dance Showcase Celebrates Student Talent and Dedication
The recent Dance Showcase was a truly memorable evening, highlighting the exceptional talent, dedication, and passion of our students. From the powerful opening haka to the final bow, the performances reflected the hard work and commitment that have gone into rehearsals throughout the year. This event provided a valuable opportunity for our dancers to present their work to whānau and friends, and to gain experience performing onstage ahead of the upcoming Dance NZ Made regional competition. Students are now able to reflect on their use of the stage, identify areas for improvement, and take pride in all they have accomplished so far this year.
Junior Production Auditions – Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief
Auditions for the junior production of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief are still open to Year 9 and 10 ākonga. Students interested in auditioning are encouraged to carefully read the attached information and complete the sign-up form. We also recommend reviewing the rehearsal schedule to ensure your daughter is available to attend the required sessions.
Gabriella Barr selected for New Zealand Dance Team
We are delighted to congratulate Gabriella Barr, Year 13, on her selection to the prestigious New Zealand Dance Team. Gabriella will join a group of talented dancers from across Aotearoa to represent New Zealand at the upcoming Australian Dance Festival.
