Term 1 Awards Assembly Recipients
Congratulations to the 125 students who received awards at the Term 1 Awards Assembly recently. These awards largely, but not exclusively, recognised academic achievement in NCEA in 2021. Recipients were:
The Jessie Cook Music Scholarship
The Jessie Cook Music Scholarship is awarded annually as a result of a legacy to the school from Jessie Cook, a former pupil (1908) and well-known music teacher in Christchurch. The scholarship is awarded to a student or students in Years 12 or 13 who show promise as a musician and contribute to co-curricular music activities.
This year the Jessie Cook Music Scholarship has joint recipients, and they are:
Aleysha Grant and Eva Wu, both Year 13 students.
St Andrew’s at Rangi Ruru Organ Scholarship
We are delighted to award the St Andrew’s at Rangi Ruru Organ Scholarship Grant this year to four talented musicians, and we acknowledge and thank the St Andrew’s at Rangi Ruru Parish for their generous and ongoing support of this scholarship.
Recipients for 2022: Ella Chen, Polly Lee, Ivy Liu and Elise Tian.
Colours and Pockets
The Colours and Pockets awards reflect a consistently high proportion of excellence grades across each girl’s best subjects. It is not credit totals, but a high proportion of excellence grades that earns Colours and Pockets here at Rangi Ruru.
