Care & Development Update

Stephanie Barnett —

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

We enjoyed coming together as a school to participate in Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori (Māori language moment) at 12pm on Monday. We joined with nearly 1 million others living in New Zealand to celebrate Te Reo Māori by singing waiata together. You can see some photos below.

Uniform

As communicated in 2019, the winter kilt is being phased out gradually and we are therefore not accepting second-hand kilts for sale.

New Years 7 and 9 students in 2021, may purchase the winter skirt or kilt (until stock of the kilt runs out) and it can still be worn by current students for the near future.

Girls will return in full summer uniform at 8.50am on Monday 14 October. They may choose to wear either full summer or winter uniform for the remainder of this term in response to the weather. Thank you in advance for ensuring that your daughter’s uniform is clean, fits and is in good repair.

Last day of term

The highly anticipated Clan Singing event takes place next Friday morning and Term 3 will end at 12.40pm. LPIs for Boarders will be underway from 1.00pm - 3.15pm.

PTA Parent Education Evening with our Psychologists

We are hoping to schedule this in early November to support you and your daughters. The focus will be around managing emotions through this pandemic and regaining control when things are feeling out of control.

To help us ensure you feel well-equipped, please forward any questions along these lines to: psychologists@rangiruru.school.nz

In the meantime, check out Nigel Latta’s new season on Monday evenings on TVNZ 1, “Kids: An Instruction Manual”.
