State of the Nation’s Environment Address at Lincoln University

Lincoln University —

Studying environment at Lincoln University means understanding the big picture in terms of sustainability, as well as focusing on some of the most complex issues facing the world today.

We are delighted to host Dr Marilyn Waring as presenter of the 2019 State of the Nation’s Environment Address on 18 September.

The author, activist and former politician became New Zealand’s youngest Member of Parliament when she was elected as a National Party MP in 1975.

Her address will focus on the current Government’s wellbeing budget and its likely impact on the wellbeing of the environment.

There is significant demand for Lincoln environment graduates in areas such as policy development, planning and impact assessment.

We hope students will take advantage of this invitation, especially those who are keen to grasp the opportunities that studying the environment offers. Educators with a special interest in environmental concerns will also want to attend.
