BYOD Expo

This week we ran our annual BYOD Expo in the Gibson Centre with our IT partner, Cyclone Computers. Parents, caregivers and students were keen to see the range of devices available for 2020. Of particular interest were devices with a touchscreen and stylus – educational research tells us that these devices are best for learning as the use of a stylus improves congnition and recall. Put simply, students are more likely to remember, and understand better, material they have written with a digital stylus than they have typed in on a keyboard.
The Acer Aspire Spin 5 seemed to be the sweet spot in terms of features and price – this is also the laptop that most of our teachers use.
