Learning Progress Conferences

Juliet Collins —

To reflect the intention of our reporting events, we are changing the name of ‘Learning Progress Interviews’ to ‘Learning Progress Conferences’.

Learning Progress Conferences are held at the end of Term 1 to enable parents to discuss aspects of their daughter’s academic progress with subject teachers.

Learning Progress Conferences for Years 7 to 10 are held in Term 3, in Week 4. This gives parents an opportunity to meet Module teachers for subjects that students may have recently commenced and is also a useful milestone report for other subjects.

A further Learning Progress Conference for Years 11 to 13 is held at the end of Term 3, after Senior School Exams. This is to provide detail on students’ examination and assessment outcomes and plan towards the external NCEA examinations in November.

There is also a session for all Boarders on the last day of Term 1.

Students are encouraged to attend all these events and participate in the discussion.
