Scholarship Colours and Pockets awards reflect a consistently high proportion of excellence grades across each girl’s best subjects. It is not credit totals, but a high proportion of excellence grades that earns Colours and Pockets here at Rangi Ruru.

Our Guest Speaker:
Our guest speaker for Awards Assembly was Yangtong Xiang who was a pupil at Rangi Ruru from 2007 until 2011. Excelling academically, gaining accolades for this every year, including Proxime Accessit in Year 13, Yangtong was also involved in a wide range of activities including being an active member of the Cultural Committee, Magazine Committee, Form Senior, Librarian and Peer Support Leader and Head of Tech Angels culminating in impressively completing over 100 hours of Community Service in her final year of school.
Yangtong is currently working as a House Officer (Junior Doctor) at Christchurch Hospital. You can read her speech about her journey and Imposter Syndrome here.
