Supporting women in our community

Year 12 Global Living - Sustainability team —

Recently we harvested twenty beautiful big pumpkins and boxes of feijoas and figs grown onsite and delivered these to the Merivale branch of battered Women's Trust through Christchurch Womens Refuge.

Our fruit and vegetables were gratefully received and have been used at two local safe houses and in food packs. The pumpkins grown at Rangi are being used to feed babies and made into nourishing soups for families.
If any families have vegetable seeds or plants they are willing to donate, our class will grow them to support those in need and show our care. Please contact Sam Vance vance.s@rangiruru.school.nz
