Information Evening: Rangi Ruru Girls’ School – USA Discovery Tour – April 2020

Rangi Ruru Girls’ School is proposing to take a group of students to the USA in April 2020. The Principal and senior management team has approved the tour in principle and the next step is to hold an information evening for those interested in this opportunity.

I would like to invite you to attend an Information Evening on Monday 11th March at 6.30pm in the Merivale Lane Theatre.

The purpose of the trip is to provide our students with an international experience that will open their minds to what is possible for their future. In addition to the benefits provided by the educational aspects of the tour, the overseas experience will allow each student to grow and develop as an individual.

We will be using the services of Crimson Education (www.crimsoneducation.org) who are a global education specialist. The team at Crimson are experienced in organising overseas educational tours and have excellent connections that will provide unique experiences for our students. The itinerary has been prepared by the school and Crimson Education, using both our overseas contacts and theirs, to ensure that the experiences are appropriate and highly valuable for our students. Some of the key highlights will include: meeting with international diplomats at the UN, going behind the scenes of Silicon Valley companies, learning from NASA research scientists and exploring Ivy League college campuses.

The exact costs will depend on the final numbers travelling and a detailed overview of all costs will be outlined at the information evening. A letter will be given out at the information evening asking those attending to confirm their interest in the trip. This will need to be returned two weeks later with a deposit of $500 to confirm the place of your daughter on the tour. The school will then make a final decision on tour numbers and participants before confirming the booking with Crimson Education.
