Year 13 Students’ Priorities in Term 2

  • University Scholarships: Scholarship applications will be a major focus for Year 13 students in Term 2 and continuing into Term 3, as applications for some school-leaver scholarships begin to open this month.
  • University Applications: Many, but not all, universities are accepting applications now for studies beginning in 2025. Most applications will close in December/January, but select degrees close as early as July, so be sure to check deadlines for your preferred degrees.
  • University Halls of Residence: Most halls will begin accepting applications on 1 August. Students can prepare now by attending Open Days or arranging campus tours. Students will need to submit a request to Rangi Ruru for a Common Confidential Reference Form (CCRF) by 4 September to receive a recommendation for halls.
