Congratulations firstly to Resolutions and director, Helen Charlton, on their selection as one of 24 choirs nationally for the Big Sing Finale, to be held in Christchurch, August 26 to 28.

And secondly to our senior chamber music group, the Florestan Quintet (Ella Chen, Pippa Anderson, Juliet Park, Polly Lee, Elise Tian) who won the South Island NZCT Chamber Music Finals on Saturday night. The girls have now been selected as one of only 12 groups nationally for the Chamber Music National Finals weekend, also held in Christchurch August 6 and 7.

These are both prestigious events and to be selected for these is an honour for the girls and for Rangi Ruru.
