 Nohoaka Pakihi | Māori Business Boot Camp Scholarship Opportunity

Applications Close Friday, 14 May

Nohoaka Pakihi is an amazing opportunity for Years 12 and 13 Māori students in Aotearoa who are interested in pursuing business studies. This fully funded scholarship will enable successful applicants to attend a four-day programme held on campus in Dunedin. Students will explore the University campus and the student city of Dunedin and participate in business activities that will inspire and challenge their business mindset. This business boot camp styled programme aims to develop skills in innovation, collaboration, entrepreneurship, economics, sustainability and Māori business frameworks. This programme also offers students an experience in a residential college and an opportunity to meet Te Huka Mātauraka staff who provide great support for Māori students while they are studying at Otago University.

Nohoaka Pakihi is being held from Sunday 30 May to Thursday 3 June 2021

Who can apply?

  • Years 12 and 13 students of Māori descent
  • Currently enrolled in a New Zealand secondary school
  • Working towards achieving University Entrance
  • Considering studying at the University of Otago

Otago Law Careers Event in Christchurch

Christchurch Boys' High School 6 – 8 pm 27th May

Meet our fantastic law lecturers and hear about studying law at Otago!

We are touring New Zealand to talk about the Otago law degree and the great and varied career opportunities it offers to everyone who takes up the degree. You’ll learn what a Law degree involves and why it’s a great choice for university study. Law is training for life! Practical examples of how we teach the law will also feature in the session.

The events are open to Years 12 and 13 students, and we also invite parents to attend. The events are for one to two hours. Please check the schedule for more details.
