Service for the Environment - the 'Mother of All Clean Ups'

Rosetta Brown and Mette van Pallandt —

Join Rangi Ruru Girls' School for the 'Mother of All Clean Ups' Saturday 11 May, 2019, to help clean up our local river banks and estuary edge.

On the eve of Mother's Day, Rangi will join 34 other community groups to clean up a section of the Avon/Ōtākaro Rivers.

Sophie Pye, one of our passionate Year 12 environmentalists, has organised a site for our school community to clean up on the Saturday morning. All gear is provided. For further details and to let Sophie know if you or your family would like to be involved, please email pye.s@rangiruru.school.nz.

Last year over 5 tonnes of carelessly discarded rubbish was removed by 815 volunteers in a single day.

Enormous thanks to Sophie for arranging our part in this important event and giving us the opportunity to show we care for our waterways by doing our bit to help local river ecosystems flourish.
