Silver Fern for Pippa

Congratulations to Pippa Russek (Year 10) for achieving her Silver Fern with the NZ Women's U18 Ice Hockey Team last month.

Pippa, along with Rangi old girl Abbey Heale, travelled to Abu Dhabi in the term break to compete in the Challenge Cup of Asia.

They represented NZ well on ice and soaked up the experiences on offer in a different culture.

There was a lot of focus on NZ given the recent terror attack and that they are celebrating the ‘Year of Tolerance’ in Abu Dhabi. The team were asked if they would be happy to participate in this campaign with the Year of Tolerance flag and the NZ flag being held together in solidarity outside the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque.
