Ekea! Year 12 Pathways for Māori at the University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (UC).

Ekea! Year 12 gives taiohi Māori (Māori youth) the opportunity to see how their current school subjects can relate and progress into degree programmes and hear from current UC ākonga about their university experiences.

  • Information about what students need to be aware of before university (entry requirements, scholarship info and course planning)
  • An opportunity to engage in whakawhanaungatanga with Māori support teams and tuākana

How to register

Your school is invited to bring all Year 12 taiohi Māori.

Each student needs to register and pick their timetable online by Friday 5 July.

Taiohi Māori need to select one lecture from the timetable. Useful information to help with their decision can be found in our What subjects do you enjoy? brochure. This provides links between school subjects and what your students might like to study at UC.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided so taiohi Māori will be asked to include information about any dietary requirements.

If you have any students with access requirements, or other requirements, please let us know via email so that we can accommodate them.
