Performing Arts and Sports
As the year comes to a close, it is my honour to reflect on the remarkable achievements and growth we've witnessed, particularly in the realms of sports and performing arts. This final newsletter for 2023 is dedicated to the incredible staff, parents, and individuals who have poured their time, passion, and commitment into making this year a resounding success.
Sports Excellence:
Our sports teams have shone brightly throughout the year, and this success is a testament to the dedication of our coaches, and managers, and the unwavering support of parents. To those who spent countless hours on the field, sidelines, and in organizing events—your commitment has not gone unnoticed. The skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship demonstrated by our students are a direct result of your guidance and mentorship.
A heartfelt thank you to the parents who, with enthusiasm and encouragement, have supported their children in their sporting endeavors. Your presence at games, cheering from the stands, and volunteering behind the scenes contribute immeasurably to the positive sports culture we strive to foster.
Behind this success in our sports endeavors we have a group of dedicated sport staff, who have spent countless hours in administration. It is a monumental job. To Marie Childs, Kirstie Pritchard (Sports Co-ordinators), Guy Strawbridge and Liam Connelly (Sports Directors) and Val Andersen (Financing) and Liesel van Schalkwyk: Thank you.
Also, we have had this year teaching staff and support staff who have coached, managed and were in charge of different sports codes, who freely give their time to see students participate in sports that students love to play. Without these staff, it would be impossible to have a variety of sports codes happen at RHS. Heartfelt thanks to you.
Performing Arts Triumph:
This year has witnessed exceptional growth and development in our Performing Arts program, and none of it would have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of Bex McLean. Bex's passion, vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the arts have been the driving force behind this success.
From captivating performances to innovative workshops, Bex has created a space where creativity flourishes, and students are encouraged to express themselves.
The impact of the performing arts on our school community cannot be overstated. It fosters creativity, and self-expression, and builds confidence in our students. The growth we've seen in the Performing Arts reflects the positive and empowering environment that Bex has cultivated.
I know that Bex would also like me to acknowledge that her success in the Performing Arts at RHS has not been solely her effort; like the success in Sports, we do have an incredible teaching and support staff and extraordinarily talented students who have helped Bex throughout the year.
Again, a heartfelt thank you to all our staff, parents, and individuals who have contributed to the success of our sports teams and the growth of Performing Arts, we extend a heartfelt thank you. Your dedication, time, and energy have made a significant impact on the lives of our students, enriching their educational experience beyond measure.
As we celebrate the achievements of the past year, let us also look forward to new opportunities and challenges in the coming one. May the spirit of teamwork, dedication, and passion continue to guide us toward even greater accomplishments.
Wishing you all a joyous holiday season and a restful break.
