Rangiora High School Board of Trustees Mid Term Election 2020

RHS —

Rangiora High School will be undertaking mid-term elections for two members for our Board of Trustees this year. Both of these positions will be for a three-year term. This process will start with the issuing of nomination papers to our parent/caregiver community by Friday 9 October 2020.

We have again engaged Canterbury Education Services (CES) to undertake the election process on our behalf. This year with legislative changes our nomination forms and full instructions on how to place a nomination into our School’s own Election website will be emailed to you by Friday 9 October 2020.

In addition, this year the option for online voting will also be available.

For those that do not have access to the internet, nomination papers will be available at the School office from Monday 12 October 2020. Those nomination papers should be returned back to the School Office. We will then send those on to CES for processing.

Nominations close on Sunday 1 November 2020 at 12 noon.

Other important dates are:

  • Voting papers will be issued by Friday 6 November (if required)
  • The election date is Friday 4 December and voting closes at 4pm
  • Votes will be counted and candidates advised on Thursday 10 December
  • The successful candidates will take office from Friday 11 December 2020

We look forward to your participation in this process. More information on becoming a Trustee is available on the School’s website.
