Congratulations to students who gained scholarships in NCEA in 2019. This represents hard work and determination for these students

• Nationally, approximately 3% of Year 13 students studying each subject at Level 3 are awarded Scholarship, if they reach the standard that has been set. There is some tolerance around the 3 per cent, mainly for those subjects with few candidates. The results of the 2019 New Zealand Scholarships examinations were released by NZQA on 5 February.

• In 2019, 13 students entered for 22 scholarship examinations (14 of which were assessed, as 8 were absent from the examination)

• Five of these 13 students achieved a New Zealand Scholarship. These students were:
