It’s been another incredibly full on term to finish the year. The seniors are busy with their exams, the Year 10’s are getting ready to join the senior school and the Year 9’s are getting ready to move out of Rakahuri into the Year 10 spaces.

The term started with the Junior and Senior House speech competitions. Our representatives, Holly Grundy, Rebecca Barnett, Perri Stevenson and R-J Fischer all spoke incredibly well.

The final house event for the year was the Quiz competition. The Junior team of Lachlan Palmer, Amber Kruger, Amelie Antoniuk-Newall and Jayde van Toor started well and finished off in 2nd position. The senior team of James Constable, Jade Kruger, Taine Gyde and Jemima Todd won the senior grade! An outstanding result. These results also determined the overall house competition placings for 2021. Lydiard finished 4th again this year. I’m really proud of everyone that represented Lydiard in the competition this year.

The final Year 13 house assembly was held on Thursday 12 November and it was a lovely way to farewell our Year 13’s.
