Rangiora High School operates 24 timetable periods each week. Different lesson times operate on Wednesdays.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday start with form time (or assembly) at 8.40am. On these days, lessons begin at 9.05am and the school day ends at 3.05pm. The first break (interval) is from 11.00am to 11.25am. The second break (lunch) is from 1.20pm to 2.10pm.

The exception to the above is Wednesday when there is no form time as staff are involved in Professional Learning meetings. School starts later on Wednesdays. Buses run approximately 80 minutes later (arriving just before 10.00am). On Wednesdays, lessons begin at 10.00am and the school day ends at 2.20pm, with one break.
