NZ BLOOD Service Mobile Drive

RHS —

Thanks to our awesome students and staff  who signed up to support the NZ Blood Service Mobile Drive by giving blood at school on 13th June. The booking sheet was a quarter full an hour after it was posted in the student office! We didn't even need to advertise or promote the blood drive at assembly as all slots were quickly filled.

NZ Blood sent us a lovely letter to thank the school. Read below what they said:

To Rangiora High School -  We had a great turnout of 67 Rangiora High School students and staff wanting to donate. Our goal for the day was 50 units and with the support of your amazing school we managed to collect 60 units of blood [1 donation = 1 unit]. This equates to approximately 180 lives saved by Rangiora High School - ONE donation can save the lives of upto 3 people.
On behalf of the NZ Blood Service, I would like to say a huge thank you to those generous students and staff taking part. You guys are awesome!
Once again, the Rangiora High School students were wonderful to deal with - friendly, respectful and mature.
