Welcome to Rangiora High School from the Head of Student Support:
RHS - December 14, 2021
I know that this is a very exciting time for you and also possibly a slightly worrying time as you think about the shift to a large secondary school. It was most unfortunate that we were forced to cancel our Year 8 Orientation day this year and it's possible that this has resulted in slightly increased levels of worry and concern about finding your way in our kura.
Please be reassured that the transition team has worked very hard to get to know all of you through our thorough and robust transition process which has included multiple visits, emails and phone calls to every school and careful attention being paid to the needs of all students. Our planning has also included the enrolment notes that were shared by your caregivers.
As a school we work very hard to support each and every one of our students and Rangiora High School aims to support all of you to see yourselves as active and engaged learners who can find success through our three school values of: Respect, Aspire and Contribute.
So, enjoy the summer and the Holiday Season and please know that we are prepared for you to join us. It will be ok...you will find your bus, you will find your way around school (including finding the bathrooms), and you will be able to connect with friends, both new and old.
